Barbara Myatt Decker

After a brief illness, Barbara Ann Decker, 70, of St. Augustine, Florida, left this world on Monday, December 9th, where she was greeted with open arms by her parents, brother and grandson. She was born October 1, 1954, in Buffalo, NY, and raised with her seven brothers and sisters in Syracuse NY. She lived in Florida with her husband and two daughters. For over 20 years she worked in the Bakery Dept of Publix sharing her special brand of kindness to customers and co-workers alike. People were drawn to her vibrant personality, quick wit, generous spirit and easy laugh. Everyone wanted to be her friend; to know her was to love her.

She was predeceased by her parents, George William and Mary S. Myatt, brother, Michael G. Myatt and grandson, Daniel V. Wiese Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 37 years, Preston A. Decker, daughters, Danielle M. Decker, Jessica (Daniel) Wiese, grandson, Henry H. Wiese, brother, John (Patricia) Myatt, sister-in-law, Mary Carol Myatt, sisters, Katherine (Paul) Scullion, Martha (Vincent) Van Winkle, Nancy (David) Urciuoli, Mary Margaret (Thomas) Fabbioli, Ann Marie (Brett) Desmarais, and many nieces/nephews.

A memorial service for Barbara will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM at San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church, 1718 FL-13, Jacksonville, FL 32259. A reception will follow.
