Barbara had fought many years with various health issues. Her quality of life was not where she wanted it to be and she made the brave decision to have open heart surgery to replace a faulty Mitral Valve. The doctors and nurses at Baptist tried their best but she passed during the procedure.
Those who knew Barbara should not be surprised by her decision to live life to the fullest. She was one classy lady whom everyone loved to be around. Her style was like no other. She dressed to the nines and always had a broach to match her outfit. Not a hair out of place and perfect makeup. A beautiful spirit inside and out.
Barbara is survived by 3 daughters; Sheryl Shaffer (Mark), Deborah Parks (John), and Denise Moore. She also has 2 granddaughters Nicole Shaffer and Patricia Latona, 2 great grandchildren (Hunter and Mason), 2 nieces (Michelle Marquette and Sharon Hagins, and several grand nieces and nephews.
Barbara had so many friends, far too many to list them all. Please know that she loved each and every one of you.
