

Barbara Burrows Taylor (Baboo) peacefully passed away of natural causes surrounded by her loving family in Tallahassee Florida on August 15, 2020, at the age of 87. She was born in Jacksonville Florida on October 14, 1932 and graduated from Andrew Jackson High school with the 1951 January class. She worked as an administrative assistant at Gulf Life Insurance Company of Jacksonville, FL prior to her daughters birth. She volunteered her time at her children’s schools, Taylor Homes and The Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Barbara adored and treasured her beloved family. Each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren were equally her favorite. She is survived by her two daughters; Peggy Kelly (David) and Cindy Kennon (Ronny), five grandchildren - Ali Campbell (Brian), David Kelly (Amy), Erin Copeland (Chris), Matthew Kennon (Jen), Jessica Kennon (Rich); along with her six precious great grandchildren - Kinsley, Abigail, Cameron, Carson, Wyatt and Cason. Her two brothers - John Burrows (Hilda) and Tommy Burrows adored their only sister, Barbara.
She played in the same bunco group with her dear friends for over forty years.
She is preceded in death by her dad, John Burrows; her mother, Peggy Burrows; her husband, Charles Harold Taylor and her infant son, David Charles.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Tallahassee’s Big Bend Hospice are appreciated.
Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207 is taking care of the family. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Services to begin at 2:00pm with interment to follow at Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Cemetery.
