Beatrice Davis Sims, 92, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012. Mrs. Sims was a native of Blakely, Georgia and had moved to Jacksonville during WWII. Beatrice was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edwin Sims. Survivors include three children, Norma Crosby (Ted), Lewis Sims (Connie) and Kelli Melvin (Edwin); two sisters, Patricia Mercer (Harold) and Onez Anderson (Clifford); 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the entire staff at Jacksonville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 24, in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday (Today) at the funeral home.
