Benito Iommazzo, 71, of Jacksonville, FL passed away peacefully on July 4, 2021 from colon cancer. Benito was born in Avellino, Italy in 1949 and was a proud naturalized citizen of the United States.
Benito was a magnificent cook and was passionate about sharing his love of Italian food with others. He enjoyed feeding people and incorporating his love of the culinary arts with many others over the years. He had a large following with his restaurants throughout the decades.
Benito leaves behind to cherish his memories Gabriella Iommazzo (Spadea); his three sons, Vincenzo, Umberto and Antonio and their wives, Christine Patricia and Jennifer; his siblings, Sarafino and Madelina; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Alessia and Emilia; his nephew, Antonio Iommazzo; his nieces, Antoinetta Iommazzo, Anna Troisi, Teresa Mesisca and many other family members in Italy as well as long-time friends in the United States.
