ASHER........Bernice E. Knippen Asher departed to Heaven on Monday June 3, 2013 at the age of 85. Born July 26, 1927 in Chicago, IL to Edward Knippen & Angeline Lechel Knippen she resided the majority of her life in Franklin Park, IL. In the fall of 2008 she relocated to Jacksonville, FL to be cared for by her son. She is survived by her children, Kevin and Jeffry (Kate); grandchildren, Kyle, Brooke, Ryan, Austin, Shelby and Sarah; sisters Mickey Koster and Barbara Bach; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, first husband Eugene L. Wisniewski, second husband Joseph S. Asher and five siblings. Funeral services are arranged by Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home. Visitation and rosary will be held at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home (940 Cesery Blvd, Jax, FL) on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 6pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 1pm at Christ the King Catholic Church (742 Arlington Rd, Jax, FL). Her remains will be returned to the family plot in Hillsdale, IL to rejoin her beloved “Joe”.
