Billie Marie Dodamead

Billie Marie Dodamead, 93, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2023. She was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, FL and a graduate of Landon High School and J.J.C. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband David E. Dodamead. She was a faithful member of San Jose Episcopal Church until recent years when she was unable to attend services and activities. Her passions in life were her family, friends, home, church and travel. She enjoyed gatherings with her fabulous friends, The Lunch Bunch and Landon Alumni.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jacqueline Cathey (Robin) and Connie Blankenship (David). Also survived by her grandchildren, Alexis (Steven), Jessica (Jared), Jennifer, Justin (Jenny), Jason, and Rachel and her great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, who were all a great source of love and pride in her life.

The family is forever grateful for the loving care, help, and support received from Riverside Cottages at the Shores, Trilogy Home Health Care, and Vitas Healthcare.

Memorial donations may be given to San Jose Episcopal Church or a charity of your choice.

A graveside service for Billie will be held Monday, May 8, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Hardage - Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
