Brandon Ayer Smith

SMITH, Brandon Ayer, 38, was born in Jacksonville, Florida on Nov. 7, 1978 and died suddenly on January 3, 2017. Brandon was an Eagle Scout and loved camping in the outdoors. He attended Riverside Presbyterian Day School, Stanton College Prep and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1997. He graduated Cum Laude from Florida State University with a BA in International Affairs. He also earned an AA from ITT Technical Institute in Information Network Security and worked at Baptist Medical Center in information technology. He was an accomplished drummer of roots rock reggae and a talented DJ of house music.

He is survived by his parents, Lewis Ayer Smith III and Carol O. Smith; his brother, Corey O. Smith; daughters, Isabella and Abigail Smith-Sosa; and a large extended family.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 and the funeral is 12:00 PM on January 11, 2017 at the Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, Florida 32207.
