I've thought of Mr. Rathman often through the years and came across this while trying to find him. I'm so sorry I never got to tell him thank you and how he was such a positive influence on my life. Mr. Rathman was my English teacher for three years at Terry Parker H.S.  I had him his first year teaching and chose him the next two years because he was such a great teacher. Very few like him. God keep you Mr. Rathman and thank you.

My name is Robyn "Ife" Maloney.  Mr. Rathman was my English Lit teacher my senior year at Mandarin High School in 1993.  I've been searching for him and unfortunately came upon this.  His name has come up in many conversations throughout the years as his wisdom and teachings propelled me to an unimaginable life journey.  He taught with no blinders, and encouraged us to question everything and find our individual truths.  He will never be gone in spirit.

Bruce gave me my start in a high school swimming some 20 plus years  at Terry Parker.  I served as his assistant coach for two before he moved on to Mandarin High School. He was a great coach, educator and family man, and he will be truly missed.

I worked with Bruce for the past 3 years.  I have learned alot from him and have enjoyed talking with him almost on a daily basis.  The school will never be the same without him.  You will be missed Bruce!

Having coached swimming with Bruce in the first years of MHS, I have so many wonderful memories. Our shared love of Tab, long swim meets, joking about our football teams and trying to keep dry in a rainy practice. He was such a good friend and will be missed. Your family is in my prayers. Hi RATHMAN family,  I used to work at the school that your dad and your husband worked at i am sadden that he is gone but he is in a paradise called haven he does not have anymore pain or hurt he is watching you guys from heaven he is smiling down at yall right now.....

I was a friend of his through PTSA and he was a great source of support and very helpful and knowledgeable.  He will always live on in our hearts.

I am so sorry for your loss.  God has a new Angel and I'm sure Bruce was met at the gates of heaven by many others who had gone Home.
