It is with deep sadness we report that Bryan Lloyd Brown passed away at his home in Jacksonville, FL on October 26, 2018. He was only 57 years old. Bryan was born in Dayton, Ohio to Michael Lloyd and Rebecca Ann Allen Brown on June 4, 1961. He joined the cast of characters we know to be his sister Deborah and brother Michael. He would later be joined by younger brothers Kevin and Jeffrey, whom he taught joyfully to torture his parents.
Bryan was an amazing athlete. In high school he played football and basketball equally well and received a football scholarship to Western Michigan University. He played tight end for the Broncos and proudly wore jersey number 81. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Following college, Bryan relocated to Jacksonville, FL and accepted a position as a Sales Representative at Key Automotive where he worked tirelessly for 34 years. Bryan was an avid golfer and attended the Master’s in Augusta, GA twice with his father and nephew Brendan.
Bryan loved the Lord. His faith was unparalleled and uncompromising; he wore his heart on his sleeve and is widely known by his family, friends and co-workers to be the kindest soul they have ever known. He particularly loved children and had a soft-spot in his heart for animals of every kind. It is difficult to find a photograph of Bryan where he is not holding a baby, petting a dog, or giving someone ‘bunny ears.’
Bryan is survived by his parents, Mike and Becky, his siblings, Debbie, Mike and Jeff, their children Brendan, Gavin, Liam, Jessica, Jordana, Jacob, Kelsey, Trinity, Sienna, Magda, Jarek, and his Godson Brook. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews Michael, Kendall, Keaton, Scarlett, Luke, Brooklyn and Grayson, and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he loved dearly. Bryan was blessed to spend time with his girlfriend, Kelly, and her amazing children Andrew, Lauren, and Mikey.
A visitation will be on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018 from 6-8pm at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel and a Celebration of Bryan’s life will be on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018 at 11:00am at the funeral home. Bryan will be laid to rest in Oaklawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL where he can be near his best friend and beloved brother Kevin, who sadly passed away 28 years ago. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in honor of his uncle Steve Vandermolen.
