In loving memory of Carolyn Messer Singleton, 82 years old, of Jacksonville Florida. Carolyn was born on May 22, 1943, and passed peacefully on May 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her Husband Neal, Daughter Wendy, and Brother Robert (Charlotte) along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her son Robbie, her mother Jewell, and her father George. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and love that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Carolyn was the heart of her family, a source of strength, wisdom, and unconditional love.
Carolyn spent her life nurturing others, raising two children, caring for her grandchildren, supporting her family, and always having time to lend an ear or a helping hand. Her warm smile, infectious laugh, and kind spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was known for her unrelenting care for others, selflessness, her home-cooked meals, and her simple meaningful conversation.
She had a gift for finding beauty and value where others might not think to look. Whether it was uncovering a hidden gem at a yard sale or offering a kind word at just the right time. She had a free spirit and a tender heart. Carolyn would not want us to mourn her passing but rather to share a laugh, reminisce over the good times we shared with her, and hold onto the memories that made us love her the most.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home located at 940 Cesery Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32211. A graveside service to celebrate Carolyn's life will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome to attend and share in commemorating a truly remarkable lady.
Carolyn may no longer walk beside us, but her love remains our guiding light. We will miss her dearly, but we are grateful for the time we shared and the memories we will always hold dear.
