To say I’m shocked to here of Cary’s passing is an understatement.my wife and I met him and Robin when we were on vacation in Italy in September 2018.We were on the same tour together.We became fast friends from day one.Cary was just a nice fun guy to be with.
We had great dinners together,and lots of laughs.He invited  us to come down to Florida and have dinner at his restaurant. I knew him for one week but felt like I knew him a lifetime. My condolences to Robin,his family,
And to all those who had the good fortune to know Him.

I just found out about Cary's passing last night.  I don't live at the beach anymore.  He was such a very special person.  Aqua Grill was and still is my favorite restaurant.  I felt like it was our second home when we lived in Ponte Vedra.  His father said it was his personality that made the restaurant so popular.  I agree!  Other people call me Evelyn, but Cary called me "Evelynpeck" -- one word.   May he rest in peace.  He left quite a legacy!

A wise man once told me to stick with what I know and not to open a restaurant. Boy, should I have listened. That wise man was none other than Cary Hart whom has been a good friend for over 37 years. I will miss Cary’s always warm and inviting friendship and humor.

Cary, I will truly miss you! Aw-shucks was my first job as a hostess and , and I will never forget how sweet and caring you were. You would bring me food once in a while at the hostess stand and it was delicious!

I visited Ponte Vedra from Ireland for years and years. I was introduced to  Cary in Aw Shucks by our mutual friend Darryl Curry and this began many many visits to Aw Shucks and later to Aqua Grill. He always had time for me when I visited, whether that was after playing golf or having been to the PLAYERS. 
Cary was a master at his craft and wonderful with people.

What a beautiful service . Our hearts were broken when we found out about the loss of Cary .Our Love and Sadness goes out to Ross , Erica and the family.  The few years we worked for Cary , Johnny V and Chipper at Aw Shucks were amazing memories that we still laugh about today . Cary and Robin came to Nashville several years ago . When we met downtown for lunch , it seemed like we were still in our 30s , we laughed about  old times, I was so glad to see him. . Chipper and I have wonderful memories that we will cherish forever.

The Lodge was Cary’s happy place. He came to swim, get in the whirlpool & to stretch!!  Everyone greeted Cary with such love at The Lodge. This is where I had the honor of meeting him and growing fonder over the  years. He was a very fun person to hang with!!! Here’s to many more in the next life. Love ya, Carol

We were part of the team that helped open up the new Aqua and we all had the most amazing time. This is also when I got to know Mr Hart as CH and realized the gruff bear I knew was actually more of a teddy bear💕

CH. Where do I start? You gave me the opportunity to work at Aqua at 15…never would I have thought I’d have stayed on board for the next 6 years! I spent a very important part of my life with you, learning, yelling and all in all having a blast! You were a wonderful human and I am lucky to have known you as good as I had. Sending condolences to those that loved him most. 

Many years ago I was the chairman of the Kristina Jonsson fund for challenged children. He was a very generous and kind donor. We were all so very grateful. In addition his restaurant was always very accommodating to our son with special needs and our family. He made a difference in this world. May he rest in peace . 

What a terribly sad day this is.  I send my condolences to Robin and his family and my thoughts and prayers are with all  of you.
What I am going to remember most is all the fun times we had at Lake Tahoe at the Celebrity Golf event.  It was great to see Cary and Robin away from the Aqua Grill and get away from the everyday job of running the restaurant.  RIP

Cary and I opened the original Aw Shucks in 1983 in Gainesville, the second in Ponte Vedra in 1987.  The rest is history.  For those who were part of the 1980’s, here’s some pics.  Could not find one of C. Hart!!

Oh C Hart can't believe your gone. Cary and I became thick as thieves in our days in Gainesville. I worked at Aw Shucks ( the original Aqua Grill) my last years in Gainesville. We shared an extreme passion for sports gambling and had a blast doing it together. Some of my deepest loudness laughs came when I was around Cary. I still use slang terms  he made up in our younger years. Cary you will be missed by so many. 
One of the best traits one can have is to make people smile and laugh, you definitely did this!!! Rest now you had a very fulfilled life.

For 20 years, going to PV has felt like we were in a familiar old neighborhood … in part because of how he welcomed us and made us feel at home. Such a good man. I can see that smile and hear that raspy voice today … and I will miss it always.
