
Charles Pierre Fritzner, II, 52, passed away with his wife, L’Tanya Lashelle Fritzner, on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. A native of Gonaives, Haiti, he moved to America at age 15 and has been a longtime resident of Jacksonville. Mr. Fritzner was a fervent disciple of Jesus Christ and an active member of The Jacksonville Assembly of the Body of Christ. He loved to play basketball and go fishing. He was a very generous and caring person and extremely hard worker to support his family. He was a loving and dedicated father and loved to spend time with all his family. Charles loved his wife with all of his heart and they both lived life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brunell Fritzner and Comita Odate. Survivors include his daughter, Diana Fritzner; son, Charles Pierre Fritzner, III; one sister, Marie Claude Odate, her husband, Joseph Ota Chery and their children, Jeanette Lestage Desir (Vormo Desir), Jones Markington Odate and Josette Anzrene Chery; other loving family in Miami and Haiti, and a host of dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 11, at The Jacksonville Assembly of the Body of Christ, 6350 Old Kings Road North, with Pastor Darin Dyal officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue.
