He was born to Mr. and Mrs. Saliba Bakkar on May 20, 1964. He attended Bishop Kenny High School and graduated with a business degree from The University of North Florida. Charlie was intelligent and kind and was considered by most a skilled athlete. He followed in his father’s footsteps right out of high school by testing his entrepreneur abilities by opening up a couple of local restaurants. After college, again following the example of his dad, he surpassed goals as the general manager of Coggin Kia in Jacksonville when his dealership was recognized as the highest producing Kia store in the United States. His final career move would land him and now his son, Taylor in the medical industry working closely with his brothers, Mike and Victor.
To know Charlie was to love him! He had a quiet demeanor that was paired with an outgoing personality and a very special quick-witted humor! The kind of personality that made you feel at ease and a humor that made you laugh so hard your stomach hurt! He loved his family and friends dearly and this certainly included his furry family too which was evident in the way he allowed Bowser, Pudding and Penny to run the house. Charlie never missed a chance to be on the beach or to bike a billion miles…he was an outdoors guy!
Charlie was predeceased by his father, Saliba Bakkar and his mother, Samira Akel Bakkar.
He is survived by his wife, Krystina; children, Taylor (Angela), Sarah, Eve and Karis; brothers, Mike (Melanie) and Victor (Michelle); niece, McKenzie; nephews, Michael, Jacob, Miller, Joseph and Jonah and many loving uncles, aunts and friends.
