Charlotte was raised in Athens, Georgia where she graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree, an accomplishment that reflected her lifelong passion for education and personal growth.
Charlotte married her high school sweetheart, the late Charles C. Clements III, a devoted partner with whom she shared a beautiful life. Their marriage took them around the world as Charles served in the military, offering Charlotte the opportunity to experience new cultures, build lasting friendships, and create treasured memories every stop along the way.
After settling down in Jacksonville, Florida, Charlotte dedicated many years to work as the library manager for Florida State college at Jacksonville. Her calm presence and spirit made her a cherished mentor to her colleagues and students alike.
Above all, Charlotte's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Charles V. Clements (Michele) and Julia C. Maddox (Michael), and she treasured her four beautiful grandchildren: Caroline and Sam Clements and Eli and Charlotte Maddox. Nothing made her happier than to watch them grow and celebrating their achievements. Her strength, warmth and unwavering support shaped their lives.
Charlotte will be remembered for her grace and kindness. Her life was one of quiet impact, meaningful service, and enduring love.
She is reunited now with her beloved husband, Charles and will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A graveside service will be held at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Cemetery, located at 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207, United States. The service is scheduled for December 16, 2025, at 11:00 am.
