ALCANTARA - Christian Adriano Alcantara, 22, passed away on Monday evening September 16, 2013 after a brief illness. Christian, handicapped since birth, attended Sabal Palm Elementary, Sandalwood High School and Alden Road Exceptional Student Center. He greatly enjoyed Barney and wrestling as well as the beach and all foods. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Mary Alcantara, Rogelio Alcantara, Azucena Alcantara and Conrad “Lolo” Adriano.Survivors include his loving parents, Carlito and Aida Alcantara; brother, Charlie A. Alcantara (Linda); paternal grandfather, Rudy “Lolo” Alcantara; maternal grandmother, Remedios Adriano; nephew, Cristiano A. Alcantara; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday Sept. 19, 2013 with a vigil service at 7:00 pm, Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. A Celebration of the Mass will be 1:00 pm on Friday at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 10472 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL. 32246. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery.
