Christina "Chris" Marie Saul

Christina “Chris” Marie Saul was a caring wife, mother, nana and friend. She passed away on September 29th 2022 at the age of 61 in Jacksonville, FL. Her battle with gallbladder cancer over the last few months demonstrated her courage, commitment and determination to “fight.” She faced every complication and challenge with a smile, never giving up. Despite the pain, Christina stayed strong until the end, admired as a hero for her brave fight of the disease.

Christina was born on November 22, 1960 to Kimmie Cota and William Donovan in Columbus, OH. After graduating from high school, Christina earned her nursing degree. She was a dedicated and compassionate LPN who always provided excellent care to her patients while employed at Bonifay Nursing home and Bay Walk-In Clinic in Marianna and Panama City, FL.

Christina was preceded in death by her mother, Kimmie Cota, her father William Donovan, her brothers Donald Cota, Jr., Dougie Donovan and her beloved Chihuahua, Pookie who lived 23 years.

In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, visiting every island of Hawaii and they were affectionately known as “professional cruisers” of the Caribbean. Christina was also a huge country music fan and had the opportunity to attend several concerts. Most of all, she was dedicated to spending time with her family and friends. She was a kind, faithful and selfless woman who was readily available to help anyone in need.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Steven Joseph Saul MD, her daughter Trisha Stueber, PA-C, her son-in-law Brian Stueber, retired Lieutenant Commander USN, her stepson Charles Saul and his wife Maria Saul. Her siblings include, her sister Denise Koppel, her brothers John Cota and Mark Cota. She has 3 grandchildren, Logan Stueber, Liam Stueber and Camilla Saul.

Services will be held at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home on Friday, October 7th, 2022 at 11 am, There will be a visitation on hour prior to the service, 10 am to 11 am. Burial will follow the service at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd at 1pm.
