Christine Chiudina Johns

Christine Chiudina Johns was called home into the arms of the Lord February 2nd, 2024, in Jacksonville, FL. Born on March 29th, 1975, in Bronxville, NY to Robert and Nancy Chiudina. She was the youngest of five children. Christine was a cherished member of the community and always strived to enrich the lives of those around her.

Christine graduated from Jacksonville University in 1997 with a BS in Psychology and Sociology. She earned her doctorate degree in 2004 from Nova Southeastern University. Her passion for helping others led her to a successful career in mental health counseling, crisis intervention, developmental disabilities, applied behavior analysis, psychology and psychological assessment. Christine served as the administrative and clinical director at Adams Acres group home facility in St. Augustine, Florida for 16 years where she touched countless lives, nurturing others with compassion, kindness and patience.

In 2014, Christine married the love of her life Michael Johns at a beautiful ceremony in St. Augustine, Florida. Together they have one beautiful daughter, Ava Elizabeth Johns.

Christine was passionate about her faith in the Lord, her family, her work, music, running (completing many triathlons and marathons), party planning (especially her epic Easter parties) and doing anything and everything she could to help others. Christine never met a stranger and even in her last days she was still thinking of others and how she could help them rather than herself. Her generosity made her a beloved figure in the community.

Christine was an active member of her church, Christian Family Chapel. There she was part of a wonderful family group and women’s bible study group; always volunteering her time and serving others when she could.

Predeceased by her father Robert Chiudina, Christine’s legacy lives on through her family. She is survived by her husband Michael; her daughter Ava; her mother Nancy Chiudina; her brothers Bobby (Cathy) Chiudina, Jim (Dorene) Chiudina, Tom (Suzanne) Chiudina and Joey Chiudina along with their families.

The services to honor and celebrate Christine’s life will be held on February 15th, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Christian Family Chapel, located at 10365 Old St. Augustine Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32257. A reception will follow the service where family and friends can share memories and comfort one another.

Christine Chiudina Johns will be remembered always as a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. Her spirit of generosity and love will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made “in honor of Christine” to Christian Family Chapel, with direction to “Missions.”
