Christopher Jackson Avchin, 29, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018. Chris was born September 24, 1988, in Jacksonville, Fl. where he lived his entire life. Chris was a sensitive, caring person who also had a passion for many things including skateboarding, collecting comic books, action figures, Lego’s and most of all drawing. He also enjoyed cooking for his family, friends and for his co-workers at Dick’s Wings. He will be missed by many including his cat’s Binx, Littlefoot, and Tipper.
Survivors include his loving parents, Catherine A. Tierney Scallan and Anthony R. Scallan; his longtime soulmate, Ashley C. Burch; sisters, Catherine M. Avchin, Megan R. Scallan Melvin,; brothers, Russell M. and Joseph E. Avchin and Matt E. Scallan; niece, Emorie L. Avchin; nephew, Noah A. Avchin and many wonderful friends.
Chris’s family will receive friends on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl. 32211
