

Clair Robert (Bob) Loverich Jr. was called home by the Lord on May 20th, 2013 at Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on September 26th, 1940 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Clair Robert Loverich and Elizabeth Ann Russell Loverich.
Bob grew up in Bucyrus, Ohio. He moved to Winter Park, Florida when he was 11 years old. Bob graduated from Winter Park High School in 1958. He joined the U.S. Army in 1958 and served for four years. When he finished his military service, he attended Rollins College. He received his undergraduate degree from American College. He began his business career with Sears, Roebuck and Company, and then transferred to the insurance industry where he worked for Mutual of Omaha for 30 years. Since 1974, Bob was licensed for Mutual Funds and Variable Life Insurance. He received his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and registered Health Underwriters certificates. He also served on several boards and held various management and supervisory positions in Mutual of Omaha. He received the C.G. Snead award for his years of service and dedication to the insurance industry.
Bob was an Adjunct Insurance Instructor at Florida State College for over 25 years. He was also the President of the Swain United Methodist Church serving as Head Trustee.
He was an avid tennis player, coached softball teams for many years and loved watching his grandchildren play various team sports. He enjoyed gardening, flowers, and coin collecting. He adored his English springer spaniel “Sam” and was a die-hard Gator fan. Bob and Betty liked to fish on the West Coast, travel, and ride motorcycles.
Bob was previously married to Barbara Nan Rudd Loverich. Nan was the mother of his children. They were happily married for 35 years. Nan predeceased Bob in 1998. They had two children Kimberly Anne and Robert Thomas.
Bob married Betty Sweeting Kirkland in 2003. They were happily married for ten years
Bob is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Betty; his daughter Kimberly Ann Loverich, son-in-law Christopher Sneddon; his son Robert Thomas Loverich, daughter-in-law Lisa Smith Loverich, their grandchildren Kayln, Ryan and Kelsey Loverich. Bob is also survived by his two brothers Michael Wenninger and his wife Jan Quan and brother William Russell Loverich and his wife Barbara C. Loverich and their children Kathryn Lucas and her husband Scot, their children Hunter and Pyper, Brandi Ligon, her husband John, their children Rick Ligon and his wife Devonne; William Russell Loverich Jr. and his wife Amy and their children Michael, Rylee, Jordyn; and brother-in –law Jeffrey Lynn Rudd and his wife Anita.
A memorial service will be held at Elizabeth Swaim United Methodist Church, 1620 Naldo Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida at 11:00 am, Friday, 24 May 2013.
