Clara Ann (Sheriff) Groves, Born March 21, 1957 in Atlanta, Ga, was peacefully called home to the lord in the early evening of Friday August 13th, 2021 at the age of 64. She is preceded in death by Father Cecil Ingram and brother Larry Ingram. She is survived in death by her mother Johnny Ingram, three brothers, Emmet, Ricky and Cecil JR, Sisters Margie and Wanda; her two sons, Johnny and Richard Roberts, her greatest treasures, her grandchildren, Lauren, Javier, Brandon, Hannah, Caylee Anna, and Great-grandson Lucas. Known by all as “Momma Ann” she did not know a stranger and welcomed all with love no matter their story. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking good ol’ fashion southern meals, baking and bowling. She was truly a unique and remarkable woman who will be sorely missed by those whose lives she touched. She will be laid to rest at the historic Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL and a celebration of life will be planned around her favorite holiday, Halloween, for all to come and pay final their respects.
