He leaves behind a son, Maurice Bacon (Pat); daughter, Karen Canty; grandchildren, Kristopher Bacon, Jodi Ashe (Mike), Jessie Ann Monte (John); seven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; and loving friends.
The family will receive friends at Englewood Christian Church, 4316 Barnes Rd, Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 9-11:00am. The funeral services will begin at 11:00am with Ken Gemeinhart, officiating. He will be laid to rest alongside his wife of 64 years, Maryann, in Holly Hill Memorial Park in Middleburg. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations to either, Community Hospice of NE Florida, River Garden Adult Day Care, Arbor Terrace San Jose, or Englewood Christian Church Benevolence Fund.
