

Constance O'Lynn Collie, age 63, of Jacksonville, passed away on Sunday, November 1st, 2015, surrounded by her daughter, family and friends. Connie was born in Wilmington, North Carolina to Marvin Vance Collie, Sr. and Pearl Marshall James on August 16th, 1952. She went to high school at Robert E. Lee and graduated in 1970. She worked as a Vet Tech and Grief Counselor for Beaches Animal Clinic. She was on a bowling team, and enjoyed playing bingo, trivia, and attending cat shows. She won many awards for some of her cats and also won awards for growing African violets.
Connie is survived by her only child; a daughter, Alicia O'lynn Forman of Jacksonville; and her grandson, Christian. She was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Vance Collie, Jr.; her mother, Pearl Marshall James; and her father, Marvin Vance Collie, Sr.
The visitation is planned for Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 5-7:00pm at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32207. The funeral service will be held at Riverside Christian Church, 2841 Riverside Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32205 on November 11, 2015 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32205.
In lieu of flowers, her daughter has requested memorial donations be made to the Connie's Lil Angels fund for needy animals. Donations can be sent to Beaches Animal Clinic, 937 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, Florida 32250 referencing Connie's little Angels.
Her daughter would like to extend her gratitude to everyone for their prayers, acts of love, and kind words. "Call your mother, tell her you love her. Remember, you are the only one that knows what her heart sounds like from the inside."
