NUNEZ…..Courtney Amara Nunez, 28, of Jacksonville, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. She was born in Groton, Connecticut on December 30, 1983 and moved to Jacksonville Florida when she was four. Courtney graduated from Terry Parker High School and attended Florida State College of Jacksonville. She was survived by her son, Daniel Owen McIntyre and by her mother, Laura Nunez and her father, James Joseph Curely III, and her brother, Luis Nunez IV and her baby sister, Hannah Isabella Earich, as well as her grandparents, David and Barbara Earich and Great-Grandmother, Barbara J. VanLeeuwen. She was also survived by her Aunt Diana Earich and Uncle Aaron Earich, and a very large family, including her Grandparents Ada and Leigh Wilroy and Aunt Ivelisse Crisp… all of whom loved her very much. Courtney’s favorite place to be was at the beach, or blowing bubbles with her son in the backyard, or laughing at some of her favorite funny movies. She also loved to spend time with her mother Laura whether they were shopping, beading or watching television together. She loved to laugh. Not many knew that she also loved to write. She also loved dancing to the oldies but goodies songs of her grandmother’s bygone era. She is now with her adoptive dad, Luis, who passed away 5 years ago, days after returning from the war in Iraq. May God bless and keep both of them. Funeral arrangements will be held at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., in Arlington, on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. A Living Trust Fund will be set up for her 3 year old son, Daniel at Navy Federal, donations toward his future are appreciated. Please feel free to contact her mother, Laura Nunez or her grandmother, Mrs. Barbara Earich.
