

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cynthia Fuller Hill, on 9/26/2025 at the age of 97, after a short battle with cancer. Born in Hazard, Kentucky on 8/12/1928, Cynnie (as she was called) married Arnold in 1949 and moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1956. After having 3 children, she returned to college and received her degree in education from the University of North FL. She taught at the K-3 level for many years until her retirement. She had many roles over her long-life including daughter, wife, mother, teacher, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Cynnie is remembered for her kindness, generosity, and devotion to her family and her church. She had many hobbies including sewing, quilting, crafts and Bible study which sustained her in her later years.
Cynthia is survived by her children, Steve Hill (wife Becky), Debbie Chinn (husband Jeff), grandchildren, Jeremy Chinn (wife Smyrna), Rachel Sohy (husband Jeff) and Great grandson, Belmont Chinn, who will all continue to honor her memory.
A celebration of life will be held at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32207, on 10/21/2025 at 10:00 am, where family and friends are invited to pay their respects and remember the wonderful life of Cynthia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
Cynthia will be deeply missed but fondly remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.
