“On Saturday September 15th David Woodrow Browning shed his imperfect shell and returned to his heavenly father. David was surrounded by love as he found peace, with the love of his life Gale Browning at his side. David or “Dave” was known to some as “Tank”, others as “Bear” or “Grumpus Maximus”, to nieces and nephews “Uncle Buddy”, and lovingly by his sister Beth as “Son”. David believed life was meant for living as he enjoyed travelling with his wife, golf outings with friends, especially his lifelong best friend Sam Henson and always capped off with a “belly washer” of ice-cold diet coke. Family was central to David’s life; he loved time shared with them, including two sons Mitchell and Travis; a daughter in law Michelle, and a beautiful granddaughter Addison. David is also survived by two sisters and their husbands, Elaine and David Roy, Beth and Jeff Marquette, and joins a third sister, Lynnette “Sissy” Browning, who preceded him in death. David’s life and legacy will be remembered on Saturday September 22nd, 2018 11:00 am at Hidden Hills Country Club, 3901 Monument Rd Jacksonville Florida. His family invites anyone whose life he touched to join and celebrate him in the bright and vibrant way he lived his life, colorful and comfortable. Dynamic and lively attire appropriate for a golf setting is encouraged. Food will be provided by the family and their desire is that those who wish, please share a story or memory with David during this event.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to veteran’s organizations, little league sports programs, or organizations devoted to feeding and restoring dignity to our homeless population.”
