

David was born June 2, 1936 in the small town of McArthur, Ohio. He moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1956. In 1963, David began working for McDaniel Color Lab/Qualex Corp., where he remained until he retired as General Manager in 1995. David enjoyed his work and through those 32 years developed many lasting friendships. David met his wife to be, Pam, at work and they were married in March of 1969. Together, they moved to Callahan, FL in the spring of 1971.
David graduated from McArthur High School in 1954. During high school, he played on the basketball team (the Generals), and worked at the Lomax Brothers Wholesale Grocery, as well as having his own paper route. He was a boy scout for many years, obtaining the rank of Life Scout. After high school David attended electronics college in Ohio and Michigan. After moving to Florida, he served in the US Army, stationed in Korea, from 1959 to 1961.
Always industrious, working nights and weekends, David made a hobby of building his family a wonderful house in Callahan. Many happy times have been celebrated in the Lomax home.
As a retirement project, with his family, he opened the Florida Room restaurant. He was known as "Big Dave" and enjoyed his employees and customers very much.
David was preceded in rest by his parents Clarence Worrell Lomax & Naomi Ruth Bush Lomax. David leaves behind his wife Pamela Dove Lomax, brother Donald Clarence Lomax, sister Ruth Ann Miller (Don). Four children: Shari Lomax Bickford (Matt), David N. Lomax, Jr., Pamela Lynn Bell (Clayton), Carlton N. Lomax. Seven grandchildren: Sarah Kathleen Bickford, Kathleen Elizabeth Lomax, Gregory Andrew Bickford, David Neil Lomax III, Brian Bell, Daniel Bell, Marie Lomax and many loving family members and dear friends.
