David graduated from Alfred I. Dupont High School. He was a member of and retired from UA Local 234 Plumbers and Pipefitters. He was also a member of the Mandarin Moose Lodge No. 42. David enjoyed quality time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, golfing and cooking.
David was preceded in death by his parents; son, William Leon Smith; and sister, Pat Rhodes. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan; daughter, Sammi Smith; grandchildren, Alis (Logan) Schrock and Zacahary LaFromboise; sister, Linda (Chuck) Moatz; as well as many other family members.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate David’s life on Monday, June 3 from 5-8 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
