Dennis was born on November 27, 1940 to Albert and Lorraine DePauw in Luverne , Minnesota. After Dennis graduated from Luverne High School in 1958, he joined the US Navy. He served as an aviation structural mechanic until January 1962. During his service he traveled extensively both nationally and internationally.
In 1962 he married Carol (deceased 1994) in Jacksonville, FL. The two went on to have two children, Monica and Douglas. The four knew how to make a memory out of every adventure and we have fond memories of traveling, camping, baseball, special holidays and shared times with our church family and friends.
In 1998 he married Julia and gained step-children Christina, Angela and Christopher. They bought a small farm in Bryceville, FL and he loved growing things, raising animals, giant bonfires and the many projects he finished there.
Professionally, Dennis owned and operated a successful commercial HVAC company along with his son until he retired in 2019.
He shared his love for God, family, pets, music, singing, coffee and Waffle House with anyone he would meet. Up to his very last days you could catch him sharing one of his favorite hymns or belting out the lyrics of God Bless America. His signature grin and ceaseless teasing will be treasured by many people he met throughout his life.
He treasured his grandchildren and reminded them often how proud he was of their accomplishments.
Dennis was predeceased by spouse, Carol; Albert & Lorraine, parents; Dale, Keith, Butch, Dean, Albert, Delbert, brothers; Delores, Marlys, Eileen, Carol, sisters; and Son-in-law Mark.
