

A graduate of Carnegie Tech and a Naval Officer, Grey spent his life in the south where he met the love of his life, Glenda Highsmith of Savannah, GA. They married and made Jacksonville, Florida their home and spent their years making it a better place.
Grey was a Naval reservist assigned as Supply Officer to the SeaBee unit, RNMCB -14. He and Glenda were long-time members of round dancing team, The Reflections, and Grey founded the Vintage Players, a small acting troupe dedicated to entertaining seniors in residential settings.
Grey’s career was in printing and related fields, having founded Craftsman Typesetting Service, Florida Envelope Company, and other small businesses in Jacksonville.
He and his wife were in love for their entire marriage and devoted themselves to their three children.
Grey was preceded in death by his loving wife, Glenda, and is survived by three children: daughters Gay Wilson (Don), and Gini Tackett (Larry) and son Glen Duncan (Karen). He is also survived by four grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, located at 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223, on November 22, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same venue at 11:00 am.
A committal service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 4535 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206, on the same day.
