Donald (Don) W. Gramling, Sr. passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, at his home in Jacksonville, Florida surrounded by his family. He was a native Floridian who adored his wife of 58 years, Mary, his children, Don Jr., Susan and Jennifer, his son-in-law, Hal Denton, and his grandchildren, Hal III, Sam and Riley.
Don loved watching movies, listening to music, reading books and spending time with his family, friends, cats and collectibles. He taught his children and grandchildren to accept others for who they are and to celebrate all that is unique and interesting in the world. He loved to laugh and truly enjoyed meeting and getting to know other people. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live on through all those that knew and loved him.
Don’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Denish Jayadevappa, Dr. Ramon Costello, Community Hospice, Brookdale Atrium Way and especially the staff and fellow patients at Fresenius Kidney Care dialysis center, who provided tremendous care, friendship and support over the last two years.
