Rest in peace sweet Nana. You were and always be dearly loved. We miss you so much. It makes us smile to know you are together again with Papa Charlie, Mugsy and Scooter.

Neva, Neva, my very special friend, this is for you. You came into my life many years ago when my sister Nancy married your son Rick and we instantly became family.  Although we only saw each other on holidays, most years, and some years went by without much contact, we always had a special bond and closeness that could not be explained. We both knew it. I always supposed it was because of our mutual love and devotion to the Lord, who had touched our lives and walked with us through the years. He was the lover of our souls, and because we both loved Him, you and I loved and belonged to each other in another special way. But it was not until the final days I spent with you that He pulled back the curtain and let me have a glimpse into the life He had given you. I was amazed at how lovingly He had taken care of you through the years, and how lovingly He was handling every detail of the last days you would spend here with us.  He even allowed me to be a part of your inner circle of friends, who gathered by your side, as He prepared your journey home. How awesome! I listened, and you listened, as story after story was told of the joy, the laughter, the food and the gifts you brought to so many people, from all walks of life. You were always young at heart, full of life and ready for a prank (if needed) to keep the smiles going. You loved life, you adored your friends and you cherished your family. You will be greatly missed by so many. We love you and we'll see you again.

Mother-

No more pain or worries. You're with Dad now and I feel both of you watching over us. I can see your smile.
Although the thoughts of what we all went through together over the last 2 months will linger for a while, I know they will fade. But the sweet memories of all the good times we shared over my lifetime will become richer and will always be with me.
You helped me be the person I am - a loyal and faithful husband, a loving and caring father, and hopefully, a son that made you proud.
You must know that all your friends that you spoke so highly of for so many years are now our friends. We'll always cherish the time and support they gave to you, and us. They don't come any better.
For now, be content to know the impact you had on so many. And know I love you with all my heart.

Mamoo, you meant the world to me. I love you and miss you very much. You were my last remaining grandparent but also a dear friend. I'll never forget the laughs and all the great times. I now have no "scary movie buddy" but I will always think of you when I see a good one. You're one of a kind and a beautiful person. I love you so much and tell grandad that I love him. Im so pleased that you two are together again. Love, Seth.

Mom - what can I say?  Heaven has another beautiful angel and you have your Charlie back.  We will miss you so much it doesn't even feel real that you are gone.  With the holidays coming up, we would always look forward to your visits for Thanksgiving.  We have so many wonderful memories of times in the kitchen - and sitting by the fire.  You and I never did get around to the cookbook we discussed - "1000 ways with potatoes" ha ha!  Anyway, we will miss you dearly and we will talk about you forever - until we are all together again.  I told you many times over the last few weeks how much I had grown to love your friends.  You really knew how to pick them and I feel blessed to have shared time with some of them.  Bud and Tina are two of the most beautiful people I have ever met and I am so thankful that they came into our lives through you.  I also fell in love with BJ and Vic - two wonderful people who gave all they had and then more.  Barbara & Jim; Carolyn & Sherm; Curt.  The list goes on and on.  You should be very proud that you were loved so much.  Even the mailman came to your door and broke down in tears.  What a testiment to a wonderful woman.  Love always - Nancy

Mamoo -  What can I say?!  You will be missed by your family and your wonderful friends.  There were so many people that loved you.  It's almost surreal that you are gone.  I know you are up in Heaven watching over us.  At least now you are back together with Grandad!!  We all love and miss you.

Neva Goodman was a very special person, she had many friends, some closer than others, we were two of her very close friends.  There was a relationship shared that covered not only the happy times,  but all of the sad times as well.
Neva had the ability to make the good times better, and the sad times more bearable, because of her faith in God, and her willingness to share that faith with us.  Our hearts go out to all of Neva's family and friends, remember Neva, then reflect on her faith and that will bring you peace of mind.

Nancy and Rick, through our years of friendship and working together we have some funny memories of Neva (Mrs. Goodman).  She was a woman with a clever and witty personality and she was quite the teaser.  She was always lovely in appearance and fashion. She was generous to her family and was a lady to the end.  We are so sorry for your loss Rick and Gregg and I do hope your mom is at rest and you know you have friends that share your sorrow.

I always knew how much you loved me, either from you telling me or through your conversations with Mom, always taking such an interest in my life and what was going on here in Atlanta. In January 2011, I moved into the apartment next to Ms. Goodman. I like to keep to myself, but one day Ms. Goodman invited me in because she had cooked some stew and wanted me to have some. I ended up spending an hour with her that day just talking and getting to know each other. Over the coming months we would meet more often. I would spend about an hour, once or twice a week, visiting with Ms. Goodman. She became a friend, one I never would have expected. You cannot meet a nicer, funnier and more caring person. My life is better for knowing her. I will miss you Ms. Goodman. God bless.

Ms. Neva as we affectionately called her was a remarkable lady. She always had a wonderful display of humor, wit and compassion.  She was giving of herself and her time and always carried herself like a true lady.  I truly enjoyed knowing her and having her as a resident when I managed Summer Glen Apartments where she lived.  The times spent over a lunch, coffee or tea were refreshing.  She will be missed so very much as she had such a positive affect on all she knew.  I am sure her legacy will live on and continue to bring a smile and ray of sunshine to all who had the privledge of knowing her.
