Georgia on April 19, 1930 to the late Etheleen and Gervis Knight. Dot is predeceased by her loving
husband of 66 years James Douglas Snead Jr. and son James Douglas Snead III. She is survived by her son
David Snead (Marilu), daughter-in-law Jennifer Snead, six dearly loved grandchildren and nine dearly
loved great grandchildren. Dot was a practicing realtor until 2017 for over 45 years and helped many find
their permanent homes. She was a true southern woman who loved her God greatly and will be missed
by many.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 11:00AM at Parkwood Baptist Church, 7900
Lone Star Road in Jacksonville. A double interment will take place at a later date with her late husband at
Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to
Parkwood Baptist Church of Jacksonville.
