CLARK: Edith Norma Powell Clark “Aunt Edie” – Passed from this life on February 15, 2015 in Green Cove Springs. Edith, a long time Jacksonville resident, was born September 22, 1920, in Columbia South Carolina. She worked for 23 years for the J.C. Penney Corporation. Edith was a wonderful daughter, a devoted wife and mother, and dear friend to many.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Mabel Powell; her beloved husband, of 41 years, Raymond Clark; one grandchild and two siblings. She is survived by her children Janice Kennedy and Walter Clark (Terry); her sister, Felicia Neely; four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; as well as a host of cousins, relatives and friends, who will miss her dearly.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate her life will be held 10:00am on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the mausoleum chapel of Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
