Edith Georgia Craig, 86, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born in Rome, Georgia on April 2, 1934. Mrs. Edie Craig and her husband owned and operated two local businesses for many years, Craig’s Shell and Tim’s Towing. She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother who cared very deeply for all of her family. She enjoyed spending time outdoors working in the yard or in her garden and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Edie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Craig and two sons, Timothy Eugene Craig and Raymond “Chuck” Craig. She is survived by daughter, Susan “Gail” Overman; sons, Gary Paul Craig and Michael Baker; granddaughters, Jamie Leigh Smith and Ashley Elizabeth Craig; grandsons, Stevie Steese and Matthew Smith; great-granddaughter, Rayne; great-grandsons Charles and Kayden; best friend, Marguerite Simmons. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 from 10am to 12pm at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Arlington Park Cemetery at 2pm.
