Edward D. Krawczyk

Edward D. Krawczyk, 46, died March 8, 2013. Born in Poland, he moved to the United States as a young boy, grew up in the Chicago area and eventually settled in Jacksonville. After serving in the Navy, Edward served for 20 years with the Jacksonville Sherriff’s Office. He spent more than 15 years on the K9 unit and also served on the Honor Guard. He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of Police.

Edward is survived by his wife of 25 years, Susan; their children, Kristopher, Daniel and Sarah; his mother and step-father, Lucy and Andy Sulikowski; his sister, Jennifer Royal (Jason) as well as other family members.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 11 from 5-8 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 Edgewood Ave. S. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 12 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery. The family suggests donations in Edward’s memory to the Ronald McDonald House or your favorite charity.
