My dear Gwen,
As I said when I called, I was just shocked to hear about Ted's death. I will always remember him as he was when I first entered the rooms of JABA.  Such a fine man; quiet, always with a smile and much of the time you by his side after the meetings. He was a role model to many. And even in the end, he fought the good fight.

Gwen, I enjoyed our sharing time on the phone so much and we will get together soon. Friends like you are too precious to lose in the croud.  I will continue to pray for God's peace and comfort in your life.  May all the beautiful memories you have of Ted through the years become your daily blessings.  God bless you.  Nancy Boss

Gwen, Clay & Jennifer, I can't even begin to imagine the pain you guys are going through. I wish there were something I could say or do to make it easier. There just aren't words to do that. I love you guys so much. I just want you to always remember the great times you had with your Dad & husband. The memories we have will keep him with us always. He had an awesome life here and managed to experience life to the fullest in the short time he had here. We know that he's with our awesome  Lord because he was one of our Angels here on earth. He's out of his pain & we need to find comfort in that, Ted would want us to.We all know he will be missed. The memories are great ones, playing with our kids, the Key's trips, the ski trips and just hanging out at family get togethers. There was always laughter, joy and a lot of practical jokes. Nothing i saw is going to make the hurt go away just know Gwen that I dont have a memory of Ted without you in it. Thank you for coming into our lifes and making my brother so happy for all those years and putting up with the package deal that came with Ted I am sure there were times when you shook your head and wondered what you had gotten yourself into.  Clay and Jennifer thank you for sharing your dad with me he stepped in when  ever I needed him Jennifer when he walked me down the isle to give me away he was just practicing so he didn't make any mistakes when it was your turn. Clay stay strong and know its ok to cry it makes the women think your sentimental. I am going to miss being able to call my brother to ask him questions about all the little silly things like what kind of faucet to buy and how to tell Joe how to make the toliet stop running.  Richard leave your cell phone on I getting ready to burn through your minutes. Were going to miss you Ted but just know that he is in between Memaw and Daddy keeping the peace and smiling down on us.
