

It is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth Behan Corliss (97), announces her death on October 24, 2013 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on March 20, 1916 in Brooklyn, New York to Elizabeth and John Gaddis. She was of Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather Robert Owens; Husbands Peter Fiscina, Patrick Behan and John Corliss; Beloved son Richard Fiscina; Sisters Eleanor D’Angelo and Gladys Jones; Brother John Gaddis; and daughter-in-law Frances Behan.She is survived by her children: Peter Fiscina (Liz), Elaine Price (David), Elizabeth Fiscina, Maureen Behan (Danny), Thomas Behan, James Behan, Agnes Wartman, Bridget Rossi (Lou), as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Elizabeth (Mom, Nana, Girlie, Betty) was a strong, independent “New Yorker” with a heart full of generosity and caretaker of all. She loved holidays, cooking for family gatherings and was a “professional” shopper. Her family meant everything to her and each of us will carry our own special memories of her in our hearts forever. We love you and will miss you, but are happy you are at peace in Heaven now.
Visitation with family and friends will be Friday, October 25, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Hardage-Giddens Mandarin Funeral Home. 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32223. Mass will be celebrated 11am Saturday, October 26th at St. Joseph’s Historic Catholic Church, 4214 Loretto Road with the Rev. Dan Cody as Celebrant.
