Elizabeth M. Whitman, 65, of Saint Johns, passed away on December 17, 2011 at her residence. Elizabeth was born on April 5, 1946 in Bronx, NY to the late James and Elenor (Furlong) Hanlon. She worked as an Accounts Payable Supervisor for Industrial Electric Testing. Elizabeth was a member of the San Juan del Rio Catholic Church, and she enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with her family. Elizabeth is survived by her 3 children, Christine Benzenberg (Gary); David Whitman (Karen); and Craig Whitman; her 3 sisters, Eileen Schlechting (Butch); Kathleen Schlechting (Al); and Ruth Amato (James); and her 3 grandchildren, Shannon, Brooke, and Jacob. Memorial Mass celebrating the life of Elizabeth will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 22nd in San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church, 1714 SR 13, Saint Johns, FL 32259, with Reverend Edward Booth as Celebrant. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Elizabeth to the Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL.
