Ella Jeanette Ballard

With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of a loving mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of Christ, Ella Jeanette Ballard, who entered into her eternal home on April 17, 2026, at the age of 92.

Born on January 28, 1934, Ella lived a life rooted in faith, family and friendships. While being born in Alabama, she spent her years in Baltimore, MD, Chester, SC, and Southington, CT, before spending her final days in Jacksonville, FL.

Ella was a woman of unwavering faith who found great joy in attending church, cherishing her church community, and growing in her relationship with the Lord. Her life reflected kindness, strength, and a deep love for others. Above all, she treasured time with her family, who were the center of her world.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Larry Ballard (Peggy), Vickie Ulle (Richard), and Brian Ballard; her grandchildren: Michele Johnston (Chris), Tracy Townsley, and Holly Wright (Jason); and her seven great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry forward her legacy of faith and love.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack, her son Bruce, as well as her parents and all of her siblings.

In her final days, she was surrounded by her family where she passed peacefully. Her legacy of faith, devotion and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223, US, on April 22, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
