Floyd Earl "Bucky" McDaniel III

Bucky was born April 8, 1971 in Jacksonville, Florida and was a lifelong area resident in Callahan then Jacksonville. He had a love of cooking and worked in several restaurants over the years including One Ocean at Jacksonville Beach, FL. After a career change, he worked as an Asphalt Lab Inspector, most recently with ATS/Duval Asphalt.

Bucky had an open heart and love for people frequently offering an ear to listen or word of encouragement. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends including cookouts, watching FSU football, or just hanging out. Recently, with his wife Jodie, he spent time working on their new house and playing with their three dogs, Precious, Penny, and Bailey.

He is survived by his wife, Jodie McDaniel, two sisters, Carol Darst (husband, Jeffrey), and Debbie Kochanowski (husband, Robert); three nephews, Williams Darst, Brett Kochanowski, and Jacob Kochanowski, three nieces, Rachel Darst, Emily Kochanowski, and Oliviya “The Queen” Egar, two uncles Charles Adams (wife Marilyn), and H.L. Douglas, (wife Gloria), cousins Jonathan Adams, Lisa Douglas and Shay Adams, sister-in-law Diane Drucker, and father-in-law, Barry Drucker along with numerous great friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Judy McDaniel and mother-in-law, Arlene Drucker.

The family will receive guests Thursday January 3, 2019 at Oaklawn Chapel 4801 San Jose Blvd. Jax. Fl. 32207, for a visitation at 5pm, and Celebration of Life Service at 5:30pm.
