Retired Jacksonville Sheriffs officer Forrest Edward Lind Sr. passed away. He is survived by his 2 sons, Forrest Edward Lind Jr and John J. Lind, his Grand children Forrest Edward Lind III and Ashley L. Lind and long time companion Sandra Keeler. He was the child of John and Ethel Lind. Forrest lived in Jacksonville throughout his life and was a proud decorated member of the Jacksonville Sheriffs office for 28 years. He was known as a strong willed, driven individual who cared deeply about his loved ones. Forrest served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was honorably discharged after 4 years of service to his country.
