Frances was the kind of woman whose presence was felt the moment she entered a room. Her strength showed in loud, undeniable ways—through her resilience, her outspoken love for her family, and her determination to protect and provide for those she cared about. She loved fiercely, spoke her mind, and stood her ground, all while carrying a heart full of compassion and generosity.
Family meant everything to Frances. She took immense pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Whether offering guidance, sharing laughter, or simply being there, Frances made sure her family always knew they were loved. Her influence reached across generations, and her legacy will live on through the lives she shaped.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Archie Mims and Frances Janette Mims, whom she loved deeply. She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Harden; her brother, Daniel Mims; her children, Brian Harden (Melinda Harden) and Tiffany Harden; her grandchildren, Austin Harden (Patricia Harden), Evan Harden, Kylee Yon, and Daniel Harden (D.J.); and her great-grandchildren, Malachi Harden and Zoe Harden, all of whom will carry her love and memory in their hearts.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Frances Mims Harden will be held at 12650 Gillespie Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32218 on Friday, February 13th, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Lyle Shiferdek will serve as officiant.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing Frances is resting in God’s care. Her love lives on in her family, and her memory will remain with us always.
