Frances Geraldine Pike

Frances Geraldine Pike was born in May of 1929 in Lanett, Alabama. She passed away in the Taylor Care Center in Jacksonville, Florida on Sept. 4, 2022, at the age of 93. She was kind, generous, and loving throughout her life, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. In her youth, she left school after 10 years to start work full-time, helping her own mother support her and her 3 younger sisters. She moved to Jacksonville with the rest of the family in 1950, and had a son, in 1955, whom she stayed home to raise, together with her mother and step-father. She regularly attended Destination Church until her health deteriorated.

She is survived by her son Robert, her daughter-in-law Grace, and one granddaughter Alice; and by her sisters Carolyn and Lynda, brother-in-law Gus, two nieces Kathy and Robyn, one nephew Paul, one grandnephew and four grandnieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her sister Marlene.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m., September 12, 2022 also in the Chapel with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
