Frances G Sanchez

Fran Sanchez was born in Dothan, Alabama, in 1924. She lived her youth and her adult life in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, Jacksonville, in 1942. She worked for the Civil Service, New York, during the Second World War. Fran was a devoted member of Ortega United Methodist Church. Her husband of 67 years, Harry P. Sanchez, Jr., died in 2012.

She is survived by her two sons, Mike Sanchez and his wife, Irene, Fernandina Beach, FL; and Mark Sanchez, Darien, GA; three grandchildren, Mark Cooper Sanchez, Atlanta, GA, Michael Sanchez, Jr., Fernandina Beach, and Hannah Sanchez, Athens, GA; and a sister, Sally Evans, Jacksonville. She is survived by countless nieces and nephews and their children.

There will be a graveside ceremony at Oaklawn Cemetery, Jacksonville, on Saturday, May 30, commemorating the life of Frances G. Sanchez. Arrangements are under the care of Hardage Giddens Funeral Home 729 S. Edgewood Ave.
