

Francis Robert (Frank) Pellicer, Jr. was born on January 17, 1937 and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 18, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith Milan Pellicer; son, Robby (Jeanna) of Alpharetta, Georgia; and daughter, Allyson (Mark) Newman of Arlington, Texas. Pop Pop's greatest blessings were grandchildren, Lindsay (Danny) Wojick, Madison and Tyler Pellicer, Victoria and Abigail Newman; and great-grandsons, Clayton and Wesley Wojick. He is also survived by his brothers, David (Clarice), Donald (Theresa); and brother-in-law, Andy (Linda) Broadus; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Francis Pellicer, Sr., Mary Louise Pellicer, and sister-in-law, Janis Broadus. Frank was a native of Jacksonville, Florida and proud of his Minorcan Heritage. He graduated from Bishop Kenny High School class of 1956. He served in the Florida National Guard and retired from the Jacksonville Fire Department. Frank was an avid Fox Hunter and owned a business which catered to the needs of fellow Fox Hunters nationwide.
The family will host a Visitation from 4pm - 7pm, with Vigil Prayers at 6pm on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016 at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday, February 24th at Christ the King Catholic Church, 742 Arlington Road N., Jacksonville, Florida.
The family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Bagnoli, friend and physician, and also the Apheresis nurses at Mayo Jacksonville, who loved and cared for Frank for 17 years, as well as the doctors and nursing staff at Memorial Hospital 3W CCU for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Community Hospice or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
