

KRAUS-Funeral services for Frank A. Kraus, Sr., 87, who died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 at his home following a lengthy illness, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, in the Ft. Caroline Baptist Church, 11428 McCormick Rd., with Rev. Ricky Powell, Rev. John Shultz and Dr. James Flanagan officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery. Frank is survived by his wife of 54 years Carolyn Crawford Kraus; 2 daughters, Lori Nesbitt and Kelli Kraus Avery; 2 sons, Frank A. (Tony) Kraus, Jr. and his wife Lisa and Michael Kraus; 9 grandchildren: Amy, Kyle and Kailyn Kraus: Ann and Kristy Nesbitt: Stetson Kraus: Trey, Kaitlynn and Jack Avery. Frank was a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville, graduated from the Immaculate Conception Catholic School and attended Jacksonville University. He served Honorably in the U.S. Navy and worked in the freight line industry since 1962 in sales and sales management for several carriers and was a Past President of the Delta Nu Alpha Traffic Fraternity. Frank was an active member of his church and the Central Civitan Club where he served in many capacities. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be sent to Ft. Caroline Baptist Church or the Luther Rice University/Seminary in Lithonia, GA.
