Frank Porter

Clarence G. “Frank” Porter, Jr., 86, passed away on April 27, 2013. Born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Clarence and Kathleen Porter, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. A member of Switzerland Community Church, Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a retired Pharmacist.

Preceded in death by his daughters, Jill Meadows and Linda Hobbs and grandson, Chad Martin, he is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Betty A. Porter; son, Clarence “Glenn” Porter, III; daughters, Joanie LaPorta (Joe) and Susan Butler (Hugh); 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; along with many family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1st in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.

The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2nd in Switzerland Community Church, 2179 State Road 13, Switzerland, FL 32259 with Pastor Wesley Slough as Officiant, followed by interment in Mandarin Cemetery.
