Geneva Tabb Brannan

Geneva T. Brannan passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020. She was 91. Geneva was born in Baker County, Georgia, March 26, 1929 to Cary Tabb and Matty Lou Tabb. She married Christopher C. Brannan on May 20, 1947. He passed way in 2005 after 58 years of marriage. She is survived by her two sons and their families: Ronald C. Brannan, his wife Sharon Starr, and his son Thomas Brannan who live in San Francisco, California; and Cary Brannan, his wife Lorrie, his son Christopher and daughter, Britney, who live in Jacksonville. She is also survived by her brother, John Tabb, and sister, Pat Colby. Geneva graduated from Miller County High School (Georgia) in 1945 and began working for Western Union, where she worked until 1948. She worked for both newspapers in Jacksonville. She worked at Ford Motor Credit Co. from 1960 to 1992. She enjoyed the company of her extensive family and friends, remaining in good health until recently. The family will receive friends at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32208 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2020. Graveside services will be held Friday, August 28, at 11:00 a.m. at Lee Memorial Cemetery, Lee, Florida.
