Gerald V. Cox

Gerald V. Cox, 57, passed away surrounded by family on November 22, 2015, in Jacksonville, Fl., following a brief illness at Baptist Medical Center. Mr Cox was born in Vidalia, Ga. Predeased by father Wilton Cox, mother Evelyn Anderson Cox, and brother Dale Cox. Gerald was employed by JB Coxwell.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Cox, daughter Brandi Cox of St Augustine, Fl, son Jason Pierce of San Diego, Ca. Stepchildren, Stephanie (Royce) Brey, Thomas Glass of Jacksonville, Chris (Bridget) Joiner of Douglas, Ga. Sisters Charlene (Daniel) Wood of Lyons, Ga, Darlene (Robert) Kennedy of Jacksonville. Grandchildren, Tyler, Sage, Emma Joiner, and Vincent and Isabella Brey. A host of friends, nieces and nephews. His dogs, Oscar and Mickey.

Family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on November 24, 2015 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32205. The funeral will be held at The Edgewood Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home on November 25, 2015 at 3:00 p.m.; Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
